Do you know how many putts you average per round? Or the number of fairways that you hit? Or how many times you get up-and-down from off the green? If you don’t know these answers, you may be missing some vital information regarding your golf game. 

Building the perfect golf swing is a never-ending journey for most golfers. Every golfer wants to hit it farther and straighter, so they continually work on improving their swing. However, most golfers do not know when their swing is good enough to shoot the scores that they’d like to shoot. Tracking your game accurately will help you determine where your strengths and weaknesses lie, and where you should prioritize your practice time.

Chart out a few simple metrics over your next 5 rounds and you might be surprised at the results!  Using your normal scorecard, mark down your fairways hit on the tee shot, greens in regulation (on the green in one stroke on par 3’s, two strokes on par 4’s, etc), putts, and mis-hits. The following chart will help you determine what those metrics should be in order to shoot various scores.
