Motion Analysis - GolfTEC utilizes the latest swing analysis and ball flight technology to provide the most accurate and fact-based swing development program possible. Our patented g-SWING teaching system combines video and motion measurement technology in one simple, easy-to-use software program. Our Certified Personal Coaches are able to measure your swing to within 1/10th of a degree at any point during the motion. We then compare the movements that you make to those of our Tour Averages. GolfTEC has tested the swings of over 150 tour professionals with our motion measurement system and compiled the data into our Tour Averages, giving us the ideal range of motion throughout the swing. Basically, we wanted to understand what it is that the best players in the world do in the swing that allows them to hit the ball so far and so consistently. Now that we know those facts, we can better help our clients develop swing movements that are efficient, simple, consistent, and powerful!

In addition to being a measurement device, the motion system is also one of the most effective and advanced training aids in golf! The system allows your instructor to set biofeedback tones or “beeps” to help you feel correct, or incorrect, positions throughout the swing. For example, if you turn your hips too far during the backswing your instructor will set a beep that will let you know instantly if you rotate too much. The instant feedback you receive from the system will help you learn faster and get the most out of your lesson dollars.

Video – We also use two high-speed digital cameras to capture every swing that you make. The video system captures swings at 60 frames per second, so we are able to see every movement, good or bad, that you make. The National Golf Foundation has proven that students learn golf 3 times faster using video alone! Most of the time, there is a big difference between what you think you are doing in your swing and what you are actually doing. We call this the difference between “Feel” and “Real”. In other words, what you feel you are doing is usually not what you are really doing. The video system helps to change your perception of your swing and it provides your instructor with vital information about the movement you are making. Once we are able to make some necessary changes and videotape your new and improved swing you will understand the difference between “Feel” and “Real” – thereby speeding up the learning curve! 

WebLesson – In addition to the innovative technology that we use in the teaching bays of our learning centers, our g-SWING teaching system adds another vital component to the learning process. GolfTEC’s patented WebLesson allows you to view each of your lessons from any computer that has internet access! We have designed the WebLesson to help you retain all of the important information from each lesson so that you always have reference material from your lessons and you will know exactly what you need to work on between visits. The WebLessons include full-motion video of your before and after swings, still images of various points throughout the lesson with audio clips from your instructor telling you precisely what your key thoughts for the position are, lesson notes, and video drills that help you work on certain positions correctly from the comfort of your home or office!
