El Segundo
The client of the month for El Segundo is John Hixson. John has been working with Thomas Howell for about 2 months and had back to back career low rounds. 35 for nine holes and 75 for 18 holes. Congratulations John!

South Bay
David Khan is the client of the month at GolfTEC South Bay. David shot his career low of 83 at Oak Creek Golf Club. David has just recently started back up with his lessons with Luke Manthe. Congratulations David!

Westwood Village
The student of this month will definitely have to be Tony Ecker. As an instructor, I love to work with students who have a good work ethic. Tony exemplifies this as he puts a lot of time into his practice, and not just beating balls, but drilling and working those drills into his swing. Tony is good at understanding the positions of the swing we work on each week. This is another reason he does so well in his practice. For example, only a month ago Tony would consistently swing the club excessively over the top, and this was really hurting his ball striking and distance. With all the great work he is putting in, his plane is getting flatter and his distance is coming back. Though his score is not yet reflecting the hard work he is doing, I can tell those lower scores are just around the corner.

Staff Changes and Additions
GolfTEC of El Segundo has hired a new Teaching Professional in training. Mike Kennedy, graduate of the SDGA Carolina campus, has joined the team. Mike is originally from Connecticut and has spent time playing professional on various mini tours. His ambition and desire to teach make him a great addition.

Change in Store or Instructor Hours:
Golfsmith of El Segundo has adjusted their store hours. Monday through Friday the store is open at 10 am and will stay open until 9 pm. 10 am to 8 pm on Saturday's and 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday's. GolfTEC is keeping its hours the same. All lessons beginning before 10 am will need to enter through the courtyard.
