The GolfTEC Austin client of the month is Allen Rubin. Allen is a professor at University of Texas and had never taken golf lessons before. Allen and GolfTEC Coach, Mark Klement worked with Allen on his Initial Evaluation on March 12th. Mark determined that the Maximum Performance Plan would be the best course of action to aid Allen in achieving his golfing goals. At that time, Allen was averaging scores of 94 with a personal best score of 87. He tended to hit a lot of pulls left, the long irons low and the short irons high.åÊ Sound vaguely familiar? Allen and Mark set goals of gaining distance, improving short game shots, improving long shots from the fairway and to consistently shoot in the mid-80s. Nice!
The Maximum Performance Plan consists of a lesson a week for one year with 12 months of in-bay practice. Currently, Allen has maintained a practice session to lesson session ratio of slightly greater than 2:1; that is two or more in-bay practice sessions between each weekly lesson.åÊ Nice commitment on Allen's part!
In March, Allen shot his career best round of 84.åÊ That‰¥ús great but Allen followed in rapid succession with his new career round of 81!
Allen and Mark -- it may soon be time to sit down and adjust those goals. We love when that happens!åÊåÊ
