Client of the Month
The client of the month is Mike Cunningham. He has been playing well since having visited his home country of Ireland. Mike does a great job of utilizing GolfTEC’s practice membership to help him ingrain the positions that he is working on with his instructor, David Romo. Last week he shot a career best round of 80. Congratulations Mike, keep up the great work.

PRACTICE!
The tip of the month this time around is going to be short, to the point, but very important. If you’re not seeing the results you’re expecting after your lesson, chances are you’re either not practicing correctly or just simply not practicing at all. Taking a lesson then trying to apply what you’ve learned by playing a round of golf doesn’t constitute practice. If your Coach has not told you exactly what to be practicing and how to practice, make sure at the end of your next lesson you fully understand your “homework”. Using lesson time to learn how to practice is just as beneficial as learning a new swing mechanic so don’t be afraid to use one of your lessons to learn what you should be doing outside of GolfTEC. Getting results out of anything you do in life starts with setting goals and expectations. You can’t expect to reach a goal if you’re not practicing what you’ve learned.
Just a reminder for those who want to improve scores that short game and putting account for over 60% of all shots taken in a round. The GolfTEC g-PUTT system can help solidify your putting stroke while short game instruction can help improve chipping and pitching. If you are not taking advantage of improving your short game then the road to lower scores will be much longer. Talk with your Coach about short game lessons so you can improve immediately.
Maximize your indoor lessons by playing golf with your Coach. Nine-hole playing lessons are a great way for your Coach to evaluate your progress and give him an idea of what you should work on next. Ideally, these playing lessons should occur approximately every three months as a kind of mid-term exam. Ask your instructor if you are ready to hit the links.
