What is your favorite club in the fairway from

My favorite club from the fairway is my TaylorMade 19-degree rescue mid. With a couple aftermarket modifications I have made, it is a club that gives me a lot of confidence. From chipping to hitting off the tee, it is the most versatile club in my bag.

I am currently playing a Nike Dymo 4-wood with a Diamana Red shaft. I cut it down one inch to get better control, and the Red Board shaft helps get the ball up into the air. I love to hit this club because it has a fantastic trajectory and is incredibly consistent. The Quad Keel sole on the Nike fairway woods works great in all types of lies. It doesn’t dig too deep in the rough and reduces drag on the turf.

My favorite club from that distance is my TaylorMade Burner 3-wood ‘08 model. I like it because it is very forgiving. It has a low center of gravity, which makes it extremely easy to get the ball air born.

I prefer a Ping G10 17-degree, 4-wood with a steel shaft. The low profile and compact head contribute to the excellent design of this fairway wood. The crown is sloped back all the way to the trailing edge of the sole, which eliminates the skirt and lowers the force line to increase ball velocity and reduce spin. To be honest, this Ping G10 4-wood is carrying out of the fairway as far as most 3-woods I’ve tested.
