Tip of the month: Did you know that two golfers can read identical positions at the top of the backswing and yet maintain handicaps that are 36 strokes apart! What separates great players apart from poor ball strikers is their downswing plane and their body's transition. Both are chief producers of distance and accuracy. To achieve this, see that the club-head is falling away from or the shaft tilts away from the target line coming down. As you do that, at the same time, you must sense the legs, knees and hips make a driven lateral move towards the target. Like a natural throwing action, this critical shifting of the lower trunk will add power to every shot.
