GolfTEC’s Jon Levy and Dave Pauley take you on an exclusive tour inside Ping Headquarters

By Jon Levy

It’s not every day that you receive exclusive access into one of your favorite golf club manufacturers.

But – with a word to the wise – if and when that day does come, you’d better make the most of it.

Which is exactly what GolfTEC’s Director of Merchandise & Club Fitting, Dave Pauley, and I did recently when we received exclusive, behind-the-scenes access at Ping Headquarters in Phoenix, Ariz.

The tech-forward company, which has maintained its position as one of the most innovative golf equipment manufacturers since the 1950s, opened their doors to a couple of eager club geeks who took advantage of every minute of the incredible experience.

As seen in our video and image gallery below, we received a private factory tour with extra stops at the famous Ping Vault and Ping Putting Lab, as well as a personal club fitting from lead product engineer, Marty Jertson. We may also have come across another surprise or two … but we’ll save that for the video.

On that note, we’ll let you be the judge of how we did with our day at Ping. If the gold bling emanating from our faces in the image above is any indication, though, it’s easy to see our experience was enlightening – one any golf fan will appreciate.
