5. REVIEW: Ping i500 irons, i210 irons and Glide Forged wedges
Ping launched three models for better players: the Ping i500 irons, Ping i210 irons and Ping Glide Forged wedges. All three models offer the finest in players clubs characteristics, with state-of-the-art enhancements providing mishit assistance when needed. Or, the best of both worlds for low- to mid-handicappers who enjoy the benefits of a players iron, with the ball-launching and forgiveness characteristics of a game improvement club.

4. Titliest TS2 & TS3 drivers and woods
Titleist TS2 & TS3 drivers and woods are about one thing: speed. The Mizuno JPX 919 Tour irons, JPX 919 Forged irons and JPX 919 Hot Metal irons feature both aesthetic and performance improvements over JPX 900 irons. From the JPX 919 Tour that were designed to appeal to tour players, to the all-around JPX 919 Forged irons and easy-to-hit JPX 919 Hot Metal, there’s an iron for everyone.

2. REVIEW: Callaway Rogue driver and Rogue fairway woods
Following an Epic year, Callaway released the Rogue driver and fairway woods. Each are more refined versions of Callaway Epic, and improved golf clubs in many ways. Callaway tweaked a few more variables – including its groundbreaking Jailbreak technology – to optimize weight in the head and increase MOI across the face on off-center hits.

1. REVIEW: TaylorMade M3 and M4 driver and woods
The top equipment story of the year was focused around two words: Twist Face. The TaylorMade M3 and M4 drivers and woods featuring Twist Face technology had the entire golf equipment world buzzing for nearly the entire year. Twist Face technology was the result of a massive amount of shot data to pinpoint the location of off-center hits and the path of the club accompanying those misses.
This new tech was TaylorMade’s answer to optimizing curvature of the face and gear effect on off-center hits.
