Make no bones about it, 2016 saw a lot of incredible content appear on the GolfTEC Scramble. So, as the year comes to a close, we’re highlighting the best of the best with a collection of our top five articles of the year in various categories.

Forty thousand people. Ten miles of merchandise aisles. The biggest, most robust demo day of them all. Yes, the PGA Merchandise Show is a sight to behold and GolfTEC was there. What’s the best Taylor Made irons for the money and where do they rank? Are they a good iron? I love the Mizuno’s I have now.
Too bad Adams Golf isn’t producing more topline hybrid irons and SGI clubs. If they aren’t sold to someone who can do something to bring them back. they will be greatly missed! I have the A12 OS irons. Watson high loft wedges, a Puglielli 56 degree sand wedge, Redline hybrid irons. and the Super S 3 wood, along with the 3 and 4 hybrids. If I can get my hands on a Super S driver that will be my next purchase. Hopefully TM will slow down producing just for the sake of the latest technology. I suspect that was what caused them to develop flavor of the month issues and hurt their overall sales. Most of us amateurs aren’t made of money so to expect us to constantly upgrade equipment is being rather unrealistic!
Update: I replaced my A12OS irons with the A7 irons. I find that as they follow the line of game improvement irons like my current Redlines, they still offer the feel and forgiveness I need in an iron. This is the third time I’m playing them…and I have no plans of getting rid of them anytime soon! They have the look of a player’s iron and the feel of a game improvement iron! What more could I want?
